What can you expect when visiting SeaSens?

We welcome you on board with a (non-alcoholic) drink and then you take a seat in an electronically guided massagechair. The chair back descends and the next fifteen minutes you can enjoy a marvellous shiatsu-based massage of your back. The massage relaxes your body completely so now you are ready to enjoy the rest of the session. It's rather difficult to describe a SeaSens-experience as everyone enjoys a session in his/her own personal way. You can listen to the most wonderful music reproduced in full surround with a perfect sound equipment, you enjoy a stunning threedimensional light- and lasershow with magnificent colours, planes and tunnels of light, now and then different kinds of natural essential oils are vaporised ... music, light, smells and colours are harmoniously synchronized. After the show you feel as if coming home from a wonderful holiday in another world. Then we serve you a drink with small refreshments in the bar so you can chill out at ease or share your experience with the others.

Do I need special clothing for SeaSens?

No, common leisure clothing will do. The massagechairs are rather powerful and even when wearing a pull or a jacket you will still be able to feel and enjoy the different massagefunctions of the chair.

How long takes a visit at SeaSens?

We prefer that participants arrive on board fifteen minutes before the session starts. The session takes about one hour and a half, including a short briefing and ffterwards, there is another drink in the bar. So you should count at least two hours in total for the whole visit. We also have several packages for groups, in combination with a lunch, a meeting or seminar, a boattrip at sea etc. and in that case a visit might take 3 hours, a whole morning or afternoon or even the whole day.

What's the profile of a SeaSens visitor?

There's no general profile of the SeaSens visitor. Anyone who wants to spend some time to relax and to enjoy music, light, colours, aromas ... in short, anyone who wants to spoil his/her senses at the most will enjoy a SeaSens-session. The concept and the massagechairs in particular, are made to measure adults (+16y) and because SeaSens is an intense experience that is to be enjoyed in a sober condition, we don't accept participants who have been drinking alcohol or are influenced by drugs.

Can I become seasick on board of SeaSens?

No, not at all. The ship stays moored in a small dock where, even in stormy weather, there is never enough swell to move the ship.

I have a painful back, does the massage hurt?

Normally the massage, which runs in the first fifteen minutes of the session, should releave pain and remove certain blockades but don't worry, every chair is operated individually so we can stop the massage function at every time. So, even if you have severe injuries, you can still come and enjoy a SeaSens-session.

I'm pregnant, is this a problem to enjoy SeaSens?

No, on the contrary, most of the women who enjoyed SeaSens in a pregnant condition told us afterwards that the baby was very active and seemed to enjoy the session as much as the mother.

Is the laserlight dangerous, is there a possibility to damage the eyes?

No, although laserlight can indeed be dangerous when used in uncontrolled or unsave conditions. At SeaSens everyone is positioned in a fixed chair and we have created a safe attenuation-zone around the head of each participant, a zone in which the light is completely dimmed. In this way you can keep your eyes open all the time and you will never have any hazardous light flashing in the eyes.

I want to visit SeaSens alone or with my partner, how do I proceed?

Check the Calendar and choose a session in which you want to participate that still has places available. Then call us or send us an email to confirm your reservation.

I want to visit SeaSens with a group of friends, family or collegues. How do I proceed?

Several formulas can be booked for any date or any time of the day. There are maximum 23 seats available per session. Call us or send us an email to check if the date on which you plan a session is available. Then we'll send you a reservation-fom to confirm the booking.

Which theme is generally preferred?

There's no general preference as this is a very personal matter, especially when it comes to the choice of music.

Is there a parking lot nearby?

Yes, there is a spacious and free parking lot for SeaSens-customers just in front of the ship.

How do I get there by public transport?

At Ostend station take the tramway direction Knokke and get off at the second stop "Duin en Zee". From here it's an 800m walk in the direction of the lighthouse.

Does SeaSens exist anywhere else?

No, as far as we know the concept is completely unique in the world since we created it from scratch. SeaSens is registered as a trademark and reproducing or copying without our permission is prohibited.
